1862-B
The General Radio 1862-B Megohm Meter was introduced in Catalog N (1954) and remained available through Catalog Q (1961).
The Type 1862-B is update from 1862-A Type with the addition a 50 V to compliment the 500 V test voltage. Both instruments are designed for insulation test and high resistance tests. The meter is marked directly in megohms and the multiplier switch is color coded to the corresponding voltage on the unknown. The function switch has a calibrate setting and discharge setting with corresponding warning lamp.
