1404-C
The General Radio 1404-C Reference Standard Capacitor were introduced in Catalog T (1968) and remained available through Catalog 1978.
The Type 1404-C capacitor is designed as primary reference standards of capacitance with which working standards can be compared. The capacitor plates are constructed of Invar and assembled in a sealed container with dry nitrogen under pressure slightly above atmospheric. This type of construction is less affected by external atmospheric conditions making increased stability. Each capacitor is shipped with a calibration certificate with specifications for that particular instrument.
