The General Radio 1263-C Amplitude-Regulating Power Supply was introduced in Catalog T (1968) and remained available through Catalog 1978.

The Type 1263-C power supply is designed to work with VHF and UHF unit oscillators. It maintains oscillator output at a set level regardless of frequency by adjusting plate current supplied by the 1263-C. The level is set by a front panel control and read on the panel meter. This leveling of oscillator output facilitates response measurements and assists sweep operation. Blanking jacks are provided to blank or cut of the oscillator output during return trace in swept operation.

Modulation is provided by an internal 1 kHz square wave generator and separate cable. The 874-VR is required to monitor unit oscillator output.

Specifications

  • RF Output Voltage: 0.2 to 2.0 V at 50 Ω
  • RF Output Regulation: RF output ±5% with recommended Unit Oscillators blow 500 MHz
  • Modulation Frequency: 1 kHz square-wave, adjustable ±5%
  • Plate Supply Output: 0 to 300 V at 30 mA
  • Heater Supply Output: 6 V at 0.5 A, 5.4 V at 0.7 A (1263-B)
