The General Radio 1212-P2 One Megahertz Filter was introduced in Catalog O (1956) and remained available through Catalog T (1968).

The Type 1212-P2 is designed as an inline filter tuned to 1 MHz for use with the Type 1212-A Null Detector. Its function is the elimination of low-frequency noise and hum. It is recommended for 1 MHz measurements with the Type 716-CS1 Capacitance Bridge, Type 916-AL R-F Bridge, and Type 1606-A Bridge.
