The General Radio 444 Tube Socket was introduced in Catalog G1 (1932) and remained available through Catalog H (1935).
The Type 444 is a vacuum tube socket designed small six pin type tubes. Its a surface mount design with solder tabs and screw type connections. Looking closely at the top view one can see the socket is labled with triode tube elements.
