The General Radio 874-PC Panel Connector and Cap was introduced in Catalog L (1948) and remained available through Catalog M (1951). This type panel connector and cap combination was designed to shield the connector from radiating when not used. It was superseded by a seperate cover similar to 874-WO with a tether attached next to the connector of interest. See Types 1001-A and 1330-A for examples.
