The General Radio 1205-B Variable Power Supply was introduced in Catalog P (1959) and remained available through Catalog S (1965).
It is a general-purpose, variable power supply having three outputs; high voltage, bias supply and heater. The high voltage is regulated and continuously variable up to 300 V at 200 mA, the fixed bias supply provides –150 V at 5 mA maximum. The heater supply is capable of 6.3 V/10 A or 12.6 V/5 A.
The rear cover is fitted with a cooling fan with spring contacts to simplify service. Unit instruments connect to the 1205-B through a connector on the right side of the instrument.
Specifications
- DC OUTPUT
- Voltage: 0 to 300 V continuously adjustable, max. 200 mA
- Regulation: No load to full load, 0.1 V; ±0.75 V change for ±10% change in line voltage
- BIAS OUTPUT
- Voltage: -150 V DC fixed, max. 5 mA
- Regulation: No load to full load, 0.5 V; ≤2 V change for ±10% change in line voltage
- Heater Supply:
- Unregulated AC Voltage: 2 circuits, each 6.3 V nominal, at 5 A, can be connected in series or parallel
