The General Radio 566-A Wavemeter was introduced in Catalog K2 (1942) and remained available through Catalog M (1951).
The Type 566-A is a general purpose wavemeter with an accuracy between 2 and 3 percent. It was designed to replace Types 574 and 358. It features an incandescent resonance indicator mounted in a special socket that shorts the lamp contacts when removed. The frequency dial is direct reading for the five ranges.
Specifications
- Frequency Range: 0.5 to 150 MHz in five ranges
- Accuracy: The accuracy of dial indication is ±2% 0.5 to 16 MHz; and ±3% 16 to 150 MHz
