The General Radio 650-P1 Oscillator-Amplifier was introduced in Catalog L (1948) and remained available through Catalog O (1956).
The Type 650-P1 is an accessory oscillator and amplifier for the Type 650-A Impedance Bridge. Its designed to fit into the empty battery compartment of the bridge. It provides a DC potential and 1 kHz generator for bridge measurements. A built-in amplifier is available for AC detector use. Amplifier gain is variable and a choice of tuned 1 kHz or flat frequency response. The 1 kHz generator output has a variable control.
- Caution: The DC output terminals have at least 185 V available and are uninsulated!
