The General Radio 1363 VHF Oscillator was introduced in Catalog T (1968) and remained available through Catalog 1978.

The Type 1363 is a general-purpose VHF oscillator covering the range from 56 to 500 MHz. It can be used to drive bridges, slotted lines, impedance comparators, and as a general purpose signal source. The oscillator uses the 2C43 Triode with a variable capacitor and and variable inductor tuned circuit. The tuned circuit is the sliding-contact type, making the 1363 unsuitable for sweep operation. As a member of the unit oscillator group, it requires an external power supply. Recommended are Types 1264-B, 1267-B, and 1269-A.

Specifications

  • Frequency Range: 56 to 500 MHz
  • Calibration Accuracy: ±2%
