The Type 874-D20 Adjustable Stub is used for matching or tuning, and use as reactive elements. Can be used with indicator and scale as reaction-type wavemeters. The stub consists of a sliding short circuit with multible-spring-finger type. The stub is operated by a baklite tube marked in centemeters.

The Type 874-D20 is similar to both 1602-P1 and 1607-P1 used with 1602-B Admittance Meter and 1607-A Immittance Bridge. The main difference is the markings on the bakelite tube. These device are matched to their respective instruments and share their serial numbers.
