1654
The General Radio 1654 Impedance Comparator was introduced in Catalog U (1970) and remained available through Catalog 1978.
The Type 1654 is third in a line of impedance comparators starting with the 1604-B in 1952 and continued with the 1605-A in 1956.
Like the earlier 1605-A, the 1654 was designed for applications of sorting, selecting, and adjusting of components in production and inspection at high speed. Unlike that predecessor, however, construction is all solid-state, replacing some twenty vacuum tubes.
