The Type 1401-A is 100 pF two terminal air capacitor designed as a laboratory reference or working capacitance standard. It features all aluminum construction with shielded cover. Connections are Type 274 plugs spaced ¾ inches on center. This spacing matches the Type [[716-C]] making them useful as balancing capacitors when performing substitution measurements. The Type 1401-A is one of four in the series. For an overview of these capacitors see Type [[1401]] Series. | |||

The General Radio 1401-A Standard Air Capacitor was introduced in Catalog M (1951) and remained available through Catalog S (1965).
The Type 1401-A is 100 pF two terminal air capacitor designed as a laboratory reference or working capacitance standard. It features all aluminum construction with shielded cover. Connections are Type 274 plugs spaced ¾ inches on center. This spacing matches the Type 716-C making them useful as balancing capacitors when performing substitution measurements. The Type 1401-A is one of four in the series. For an overview of these capacitors see Type 1401 Series.
Specifications
- Insertion Capacitance: 100 pF
- Initial Accuracy: 0.2%
