The General Radio 1210-C Unit Oscillator was introduced in Catalog P (1959) and remained available through Catalog U (1970).
The Type 1210-C is a general purpose R-C oscillator from the unit family of instruments. It can produce a sine or square-wave output from 20 Hz to 500 kHz in five ranges.
Output voltage from the oscillator is kept constant with respect to frequency change by the use of an AVC circuit that is electrically identical to the one in the 1210-B model, but constructed on an etched circuit board.
As a unit oscillator, the 1210-C requires an external power supply, the types 1203-B and 1201-B are recommended. The 1210-C frequency can be "swept" with use of the Type 907-R144 Dial Drive.
Specifications
- Frequency Range: 20 Hz to 500 kHz in 5 ranges
- Frequency Accuracy: ±3%
- Output Low Impedance 0-7 V, ±1 dB up to 200 kHz for loads of 500 Ω and higher
- Output High Impedance 0-45 V, ±1 dB from 200 Hz to 200 kHz for loads of 10 kΩ and higher
- Square-Wave Output: 0-30 Vp-p, rise time approximately 250 ns
- Power Input: 6.3 V AC or DC at 1 A and 300 V DC at 60 mA
