The General Radio 874-LBA Slotted Line was introduced in Catalog O (1956) and remained available through Catalog S (1965).

The Type 874-LBA Slotted Line is used to observe the electric field inside a coaxial transmission line, the slotted line. Using its carriage mounted probe standing waves on the slotted line can be examined. By observing minimums and maximums known as the standing-wave pattern the characteristics of the circuit connected to load can be determined. Applications include determination of the frequency applied to the line, measurements of antennas, components, coaxial elements, and networks. The 874-LBA is an update of the 874-LB. They feature improved accuracy and carriage construction. The new carriage removes it's drive control to a fixed position at the load end. The carraige is now controlled by a nylon cord and series of pulleys. The 874-LBA is supplied with a protective wooden case along spare nylon cable and crystal detector.

Specifications
