The General Radio 1631-A Inductance Bridge appeared in Catalog L (1948) only.
The Type 1631-A is portable service grade inductance measuring device using the Maxwell bridge circuit. It accomplishes this without the use of any vacuum tubes. The generator used is "Hummer" type operating at 1000 Hz and the detector being a set of headphones. The power for the hummer oscillator is a pair Burgess F2BP suppling 6 volts mounted inside its walnut case. The hummer oscillator is similar to the Type 572-B.
Specifications
- Inductance Range: 10 μH to 100 H in 3 ranges
- Inductance Accuracy: ±2.5% of dial reading between 100 μH and 10 H. See Manual
- Q Range: 1 to 45
- Q Accuracy: ±10% of dial reading for values of Q between 2 and 10. See Manual
