The Type 1261-A power supply is designed to replace the battery in certain portable instruments. It provides
plate voltage of 80 to 100 volts and filament voltage of 1.5 volts. A pair of "D" battery cells are used to help stabilize and filter the filament supply. The 1261-A is compatible with Types [[720-A]], [[1231-A]], [[1231-B]] and [[1550-A]]. The Type [[759-P50]] is similar to Type 1261-A.

The General Radio was introduced in Catalog L (1948) and remained available through Catalog Q (1961).

The Type 1261-A power supply is designed to replace the battery in certain portable instruments. It provides plate voltage of 80 to 100 volts and filament voltage of 1.5 volts. A pair of "D" battery cells are used to help stabilize and filter the filament supply. The 1261-A is compatible with Types 720-A, 1231-A, 1231-B and 1550-A. The Type 759-P50 is similar to Type 1261-A.
