The General Radio 1633-A Incremental Inductance Bridge was introduced in Catalog R (1963) and remained available through Catalog 1978.
The Type 1633-A is specifically designed for the measurement of iron-core inductors such as transformers, chokes and other coils with ferromagnetic cores. It's built in detector is selective at nine specific frequencies and designed with narrow bandwidth to reduce harmonics generated in the unknown. The 1633-A requires an external generator with the power required to saturate the unknown to the desired level. The Types 1265-A DC Power Supply and 1308-A Audio Oscillator generator combination along with the 1633-A make up the 1630-AV Inductance Measuring Assembly.
Specifications
