The Type 1361-A is a general purpose Colpitts type oscillator covering 450 to 1050 MHz. It can be used to drive bridges, slotted lines, impedance comparators, and a general purpose signal source. Direct amplitude modulation at audio frequencies is provided by a front and side panel phone jack and with an accessory crystal-diode modulator [[1000-P6]] or [[1000-P7]], balanced modulator. Sweep frequency operation is provided by the Type [[1750-A]] sweep drive or Type [[907-R144]] Dial Drive. The recommended power supply is the Type [[1203-B]] for basic operation, also available the Type [[1264-A]] Modulating Power Supply and Type [[1263-B]] Amplitude-Regulated power supply. The power supply jumper socket must be in place when not in use.

The General Radio 1361-A Oscillator was introduced in Catalog Q (1961) and remained available through Catalog 1973.

The Type 1361-A is a general purpose Colpitts type oscillator covering 450 to 1050 MHz. It can be used to drive bridges, slotted lines, impedance comparators, and a general purpose signal source. Direct amplitude modulation at audio frequencies is provided by a front and side panel phone jack and with an accessory crystal-diode modulator 1000-P6 or 1000-P7, balanced modulator. Sweep frequency operation is provided by the Type 1750-A sweep drive or Type 907-R144 Dial Drive. The recommended power supply is the Type 1203-B for basic operation, also available the Type 1264-A Modulating Power Supply and Type 1263-B Amplitude-Regulated power supply. The power supply jumper socket must be in place when not in use.

Specifications

  • Frequency Range: 450 to 1050 MHz.
  • Frequency Accuracy: ±1%.
  • Output Power (into 50 Ω): at least 125 mW with Type 1203-B Unit Power Supply,
  • Attenuator Range: 80 dB with 5 dB scale divisions, relative attenuation.
