The General Radio 1803-A Vacuum-Tube Voltmeter was available in Catalog M (1951) only.

The Type 1803-A is a AC vacuum tube voltmeter with a range from 0.1 to 150 VRMS at frequencies to 100 MHz without corrections. Except on the lowest range, its peak reading but the scales are calibrated in RMS volts for sinusoidal voltages. It features hard-wired probe containing dual-diode vacuum tube rectifier. The probe tip is shorted when in the stored position for the zero adjust function. From 20 Hz to about 100 Mhz the accuracy is ±3% but usable up to 200 MHz, refer to the manual.

Specifications

  • Voltage Range: 0.1 to 150 VRMS
  • Accuracy: ±3% of full scale on all ranges
  • Input Impedance: 7.7 MΩ at low frequencies, See Manual
  • Frequency: 100 MHz; up to 200 Mhz with corrections
