The General Radio 1214-E Unit Oscillator was available only in Catalog P (1959).
The Type 1214-E is a member of the Unit Oscillator family that uses a self-contained power supply. It is designed to be used with Type 1661-A Vacuum Tube Bridge as a signal source.
Other members of Type 1214 family are 1214-A, 1214-D, and 1214-M. Like others in 1214 family the 1214-M uses a transformerless power supply. A single 117N7 tube contains the power supply rectifier and a beam power section as the oscillator.
