The General Radio 1363 VHF Oscillator was introduced in 1968 Catalog T and remained available through Catalog78 1978.
The Type 1363 is a general purpose VHF oscillator covering the range from 56 to 500 MHz. It can be used to drive bridges, slotted lines, impedance comparators, and a general purpose signal source. The oscillator uses the 2C43 Triode with a variable capacitor and and variable inductor tuned circuit. The tuned circuit is the sliding contact type making the 1363 unsuitable for sweep operation. As a member of the unit oscillator group if requires an external power supply, three are recommended Types 1264-B, 1267-B, and 1269-A.
