'''Description Pending'''
The Type 1304-B is a general-purpose, dual-range oscillator covering 0 to 20 kHz and 20 to 40 kHz.  It has a built-in 60 dB attenuator and an output voltmeter.

The 1304-B can supply 1 W of output into a 600 Ω load, floating or grounded. There is a calibration function to zero-beat the oscillator output with the 60 Hz power line.

With the addition of the Type [[1521-P15|1521-P15 Link Unit]], the 1304-B can be coupled to the Type [[1521-B|1521-B Graphic Level Recorder]].

Applications for the 1304-B include amplifier and speaker testing, frequency response plotting, and as a bridge source.

The General Radio 1304-B Beat Frequency Oscillator was introduced in Catalog N (1954) and remained available through Catalog U (1970).

With the addition of the Type 1521-P15 Link Unit, the 1304-B can be coupled to the Type 1521-B Graphic Level Recorder.

Applications for the 1304-B include amplifier and speaker testing, frequency response plotting, and as a bridge source.

Specifications

  • Frequency Range: 20 to 40,000 Hz in two ranges
  • Calibration Accuracy: ± (1% + 0.5 cycle) after front panel calibration
  • Drift: The drift from a cold start is less than 7 cycles in the first hour
  • Output Voltage: Full-scale, open-circuit output voltages of 50 mV, 500 mV, 5 V, and 50 V
  • Output Impedance: 600 Ω, resistive, within ±2%
  • Harmonic Distortion: Total harmonic content less than 0.25% from 100 Hz to 10 kHz, less than 0.5% below 100 Hz, less than 1% above 10 kHz
