The General Radio 1214-E Unit Oscillator was available only in Catalog P (1959).
The Type 1214-E is a member of the Unit Oscillator family using a self-contained power supply. It is designed to be used as a signal source for the Type 1661-A Vacuum Tube Bridge.
Like other members of the 1214 family (1214-A, 1214-D, and 1214-M), the 1214-M's power supply is transformerless, with a single 117N7 tube containing the power supply rectifier and a beam power section as the oscillator.
Specifications
- Frequency: 270 and 1000 Hz
- Accuracy: ±2%
- Output: 300 milliwatts into 800 Ω
- Harmonic Distortion: 3% with 800 Ω load
