The General Radio 1003 Standard Signal Generator was introduced in Catalog T (1968) and remained available through Catalog 1978.
The 1003 is a lab-grade, solid-state signal generator covering 67 kHz to 80 MHz in 10 bands. It does this with a precision oscillator covering 34 to 80 MHz, then using frequency dividers to produce the different frequency ranges.
The model pictured below (1003-9705) contains the options for motor-driven frequency control and sweep functions. It also has the calibrator option with three frequencies — 1 MHz, 200 kHz, and 50 kHz.
