The General Radio 1153-A Digital Frequency Meter, a general-purpose frequency meter and event counter, was available in Catalog S (1965) only.
The display consists of five "Numerik" incandescent readouts (see IND-0300 and IND-1801 for details). It is interesting to note that if a lamp fails, the counter will stop at that digit because the lamp is part of the counting circuit.
Specifications
- Frequency Range: DC to 10 MHz
- Calibration Accuracy: ±1 count ± time-base stability
- Sensitivity: 0.1 Vp-p (30 mVRMS) at 100 kΩ and 50 pF; 1.0 Vp-p (0.3 VRMS) at 1 MΩ and 20 pF
