The General Radio 1481 Series of Inductances was introduced in Catalog M (1951) and remained available through Catalog R (1963).
The Type 1481 Series of standard inductors are of the toroid design wound design. The toroid is clamped between the two aluminum case halves. The 1481 inductors are derived from Types 940 and 1490 decade inductors. Each inductor in the series is engraved with nominal inductance, accuracy, and inductance change versus current. The connections are Type 938-A Jack-Top binding posts, one being grounded.
